Course contents : Vibration Sensors: Displacement, Velocity and Acceleration. Signal Analysis: Power Spectral Density, Discrete Fourier Transform, FFT algorithm, Digital Spectrum Analyzer, Aliasing and Leakage Errors. Excitation Techniques: Types of Excitation Signals (Shock, Sine Sweep, Random, ...), Electrodynamical Exciters, Impact Hammer, Theoretical Basis of Modal Analysis: Transfer Function, Receptance, Mobility, Impedance, Bode and Nyquist Diagrams, Modal Expansion of the Dynamical Influence Coefficients. Modal Identification Methods: Appropriation Methods, Modal Parameter Identification, Single Output Methods (Peak Picking and Circle Fitting), Multiple Output Methods, Residuals. Introduction to Model Updating Methods. Vibration-Based Structural Health Monitoring Methods.
