Duration :30h Th, 30h Pr
Credits/ECTS :
2nd year of a Bachelor's degree in civil ingeneering sciences, civil ingeneer orientation6
2nd year of a Bachelor's degree in civil ingeneering sciences, civil ingeneer orientation5
2nd "candidature" in civil engineer in architecture9

Course contents : The course deals with the following subjects:
  • Vector analysis
  • Harmonic analysis
  • Complex analysis

Exercises sessions complement the course.
Course objective : Simplified but rigourous introduction of a few mathematical analysis tools which are usefull for engineers. Usage of these tools to solve various problems dealing with mathematical modelisation of physical phenomena.
Prerequisites : Good knowledge of the analysis, algebra, geometry and physics courses teached during the first year.
Organization : The course follows the official schedule given to the students at the beginning of the academic year.
Written notes : Lecture notes are handed out at the beginning of the course. Lists of exercises are handed out during the exercises sessions.
Assessment : A written examination (theory and exercise) is organised in January-February on the whole course.
