Mathematical analysis I

Course contents : The course covers the following topics of mathematical analysis :
  • Functions of a real variable : limit, continuité, derivative, indefinite and integral, Riemann integral,...
  • Ordinary differential equations
  • Functions of several real variables : limit, continuity, differentiation, extrema.
  • Series : numerical series, series of functions, power series.
  • Lebesgue Integral theory : line, surface and volume integrals.
Course objective : Theoretical justification and use of calculus applied to engineering problems.
Prerequisites : Basic notions of mathematics : algebraic equations, inegalities, trigonometry, real and complex numbers
Organization : Lectures : 50 hours - Exercices : 40 hours
First and second quadrimestres
Written notes : Analyse Mathématique, E.J.M. DELHEZ (2 volumes). Lecture notes distributed by the AEES.
Assessment : Written examination in January. A note higher or equal to 12/20 gives an exemption for the final examination. Notes less than 12/20 are discarded.

Written (exercices) and oral (theory) examination in May/June.

Written examination in August/September (retakes).
