| Multidisciplinary approach to the musculoskeletal system (partim I) theory

| |
|
| |
| Duration : | 50h Th | |
| | | |
| Credits/ECTS : |
| |
| | | |
| Holder(s) : | Jean‑Louis Croisier, Marguerite Foidart‑Dessalle, Philippe Gillet | |
| | | |
| | | |
| Course contents :
| 1. Osseous, osteo-articular and muscular anatomy of the upper and lower limbs:
- osteology is the study of bones, particularly the relationship between form and function;
- arthrology is the study of the articulations, with a detailed attention for the relationship between structure, function and stability;
- myology, or study of the muscles, namely their forms, their insertions, their action.
2. Movement analysis and articular constraints study
In perfect coordination with the course of anatomy, this course analyzes the movements and the constraints undergone by the various articulations. It analyzes the gait. Theoritical and practical sessions get the students familiar with articular range of motion and muscle strength testing.
This course demonstrates some biomechanical parameters of pathological situations.
3. Locomotor rehabilitation.
This course describes the techniques of articular mobilization useful for the practice of kinesitherapy.
| | | |
| Course objective :
| 1. To fix knowledge of anatomy and movements of the upper and lower limbs; 2. to give the student a better understanding of traumatic and ostéo-articular pathologies 3. to raise up a rationale on the effectiveness and safety of the mobilizations in professional practice. | |
| | | |
| Prerequisites :
| 1. Introduction to the human anatomy (ANAT0110-2), course scheduled in the second semester (Pr. Bonnet).
2. Basic notions of experimental Physics in kinesitherapy and physical education including the mathematical introduction to the applied sciences (PHYS0510-5) (1st Candidature)
3. Biomechanics (partim I: LOCO0520-1) applied to the human movement (2nd Candidature - six-month period 3).
| | | |
| Workshops :
| 1. Anatomy: 10 hours 2. Biomechanics: 15 hours 3. locomotor Rehabilitation: 15 hours. | |
