Course contents : Reading epic and classic Sanskrit texts and commenting on their grammatical and stylistical features.
Course objective : Familiarizing with the Devanágarí script. Using Sanskrit dictionaries and grammars. Understanding Sanskrit linguistic features.
Prerequisites : Introduction to Sanskrit I. To have followed Introduction to Sanskrit II.
Workshops : Preparing the readings. Supervised reading of a transcribed Sanskrit text.
Organization : 30 h spread out over the second semester. Timetable set with the students. Opening session in September announced on Section notice board
Written notes : Photocopies of Sanskrit texts in Devanágarí.
Assessment : Written test + oral test, in June.
