Course contents : History of assyriology, short description of the available documentation, techniques for edition, presentation of the "tools" in assyriology, initiation to the bibliographic research
Course objective : To inform the student about the history and working of the discipline; introduction into the scientific research
Prerequisites : The course of Assyro-Babylonian I
Workshops : The students will do some bibliographic research and documentary works following the instructions that will be given.
Organization : 15 h
Room and hours will be decided following the possibilities of the students
Written notes : A list of assyriological publications will be distributed during the year.
Assessment : Oral examination at the end of the year. The examination has the aim to check the mastery of the edition and the capacity to handle bibliographical tools.
