Course contents : Presentation of the grammatical structure of the language, initiation to cuneiform signs, study of short texts in transcription, and around the end of the course, reading some chosen passages of Hammurabi's laws (in cuneiform).
Course objective : Initiation into classical Babylonian (classical phase of the language), basic grammar and vocabulary
Prerequisites : Not available
Organization : 60 h during the first and second quadrimestres
Room and hours will be decided following the possibilities of the students
Written notes : The basic litterature will be given during the course.
Assessment : Oral examination at the end of the year on the whole subject.
