Course contents : Problem of literary genres, metric and transmission - Major trends of the Egyptian literature - Translation of excerpts in a literary perspective
Course objective : To show the specificity of the Egyptian literary genres (in a broad sense) and sketch the hisyoric evolution
Prerequisites : 1st and 2nd candidatures in Egyptology
Workshops : A summary report on an ancient Egyptian literary piece
Organization : 30 hours (1st or 2nd quadrimestre)
Written notes : Handouts and copies of the hieroglyphic texts are given during the semester
Assessment : oral examination (may-june)
