Course contents : Morphological approach based on Algemene Nederlandse Spraakkunst.
Course objective : A fair command of the language.
Prerequisites : You must have passed the 1st year examination in the corresponding course (Langue néerlandaise I).
Organization : Duration and term: 75 hours (30 hours theory + 45 hours practice) - 1st and 2nd semester.

Place and time: central building - Thursday 14-16.30

Teaching method:
ex cathedra (theory).
Exercises on grammar and translation.
Compulsory Reading: 30 p. in the Dutch magazine Elsevier.
Advised Reading: Dutch and Flemish newspapers.
Written notes : Reference books:
ANS: Algemene Nederlandse Spraakkunst.
Nouveau dictionnaire contrastif des prépositions F-N (Theissen/Hiligsmann/Lousberg).
Uitdrukkingen en Spreekwoorden van A tot Z (Theissen/Hiligsmann).
Terminologie grammaticale (syllabus).
L'emploi de l'article (syllabus).
Assessment : Examination: June.
Test on Dutch phrases and grammatical terminology (test covering part of the subject matter students otherwise have to study for the final exam).
Written examination (essay, exercises on grammar, translation French-Dutch, Dutch-French) and oral examination (correcting the written examination, grammatical theory, analysis of one of the articles in Elsevier.
