Course contents : The course's subject is changing from year to year and some specialists are often invited to make lectures. Some examples of treated subjects:Vitruve, le Palladio and the English palladian architects; Ulysse as he appears through European literature in the middle-ages, in modern and contemporary times and his place in sculpture and painting. The same question for Helen, Aineas or episodes of the Trojan War.
Course objective : Open the student's mind to all effects of classical Antiquity in the following centuries and specially in our times.
Prerequisites : To be in the third year (Bac 3) for students of our section. None for free students.
Organization : How long? 30 h, 1st semester.
Where and When? Monday from 8.30 to 9.30.
How? Teaching ex cathedra with discussions and answers to questions.
Written notes : A select bibliography is given for every subject.
Assessment : Oral examination.
