Course contents : 1st and 2nd licence in Classical Languages and Literatures + options for students of other sections. The course is also open to free students provided they have a written auhorization by the professor.
Course objective : Detailed reading of one or several main works of ancient Greek Literature. The work is situated in its socio-cultural mood with the information which can be drawn of the effects it has had on following centuries until our times.
Prerequisites : A degree of candidate in Classical Languages and Literatures or in another section when the course is chosen as an option which is mentioned in the program of this section. For free students, a minimal knowledge of ancient Greek.
Organization : How long? 45 h -1st and 2nd semesters.
Where and when? Classroom 3/26/A, 3rd floor,main building, Pl. XX Août, Wednesday from 9 to 10.30.
How? Teaching ex cathedra with active participation of the students and answers to their questions.
Written notes : Texts of the chosen authors.
Assessment : Oral examination.
