| Course contents :
| "Español de los negocios 1: : Macroeconomía, Economía de los países de lengua hispana" is a module devoted to the study of business terminology which includes 13 units that cover such topics such as geography, agriculture, natural resources, transport, services, investments, or unemployment. We also examine genuine documents and press articles, and use audio and video material. Occasional reminders of grammar points. | |

| Organization :
| Intensive use of multimedia training tools in LEM Use of distance learning media in Spanish language (as developed in HEC) Listening comprehension, written comprehension exercises. Role play, simulation, case study, debate, oral presentation. Lectures, meetings with representatives of the business world. Self-learning possibilities on the website "Español de los Negocios". Loans from the library. Conversation classes (set up if required). | |

| Assessment :
| 1- Oral examination: 1.1- business language (translation into Spanish on topics seen in class) 1.2- general language: conversation on a short text students discover at the exam (on the pattern "Letters to the Editor"): a) Synthesis, b) personal comments (checking the student's mastery of the language and vocabulary in a controlled environment), c) free conversation (checking the student's mastery of the language in a non controlled environment)
2- Written examination: translation into Spanish included business and grammar issues. N.B. Marks are based on the written and oral examinations (50-50), with continuous assessment as moderator.
Continuous assessment (participation, test results, assignments, etc.) N.B. One third of the marks is allotted to the written exam, one to the oral exam, and one to the listening comprehension test. ??? Continuous assessment also plays a part. - DELE (Diploma de Español Lengua Extranjera) examinations are taken into account for ERASMUS students back from Spain.
In the 2nd session : - Only those students who did not take the 1st session have to take a written exam. - Oral examination on business language and general conversation (no listening comprehension) | |
