| Course objective :
| Consolidation of the 4 language skills, namely speaking, listening, reading and writing, to enable students to reach a lower intermediate level by the end of the year.
The subjects are of general interest, but always have something to do with the business world. The course is level 2 in a cycle that consists of 4 levels.

| Prerequisites :
| Considering the course is level 2 in a cycle that consists of 4 levels, general skills in basic Dutch (that correspond to level 1) are required. | |
| | | |
| Organization :
| 2 hours every week for all students in small groups of max. 25 students. "Sciences de Gestion"/"Sciences Economiques"/"Gestion d'Entreprise" students (90 hours in all) get a third in-class listening comprehension session. Students are not asked to prepare anything for this 3rd hour.
All the students are asked to read the texts and prepare the exercises. Regular attendance and active participation are essential.
Students may ask questions anytime during the session or make an appointment to see their trainer.
| | | |
| Written notes :
| Coursebook Nederlands Niveau 2, C.COLIN, available at Intercopy.
Grammatica-Oefeningen à la Carte, Depreay-Furlan, ed. De Boeck.
| | | |
| Assessment :
| Written and oral examination on the whole course, except the reading file that will only be discussed during the oral examination.
Several writing tasks (with feed-back) and oral presentations will enable students to assess themselves. The marks will not count towards the final mark.
For the students who get a 3rd hour of listening comprehension, a compulsory examination will be organized during one of the last sessions.
