Course contents : Quantitative cytometry: analysis of thousand cells on a cell-by cell basis; rare biological important cells can be detected and analysed or sorted by two complementary approches:

1) Image cytometry: basic study of all types of microscopes, confocal, fluorescence, interferential, phase, electronic. Morphomathematical analysis of acquired images, segmentation, binary morphology, Fourier analysis, cell identification, measurements of multiple parameters

2) Flow cytometry: multicolor analysis and high speed sorting of thousands cells by second; DNA Cell cycle, calcium fluxes, immunophenotype,

Visit of the laboratory on request
Organization : first period, two hours /week
