Course contents : Concurrent Processes - Scheduling Policies - Segmentation, Paging, Virtual Memory - Page handling and replacement - Internal Fragmentation - External Fragùentation.
Modern cryptography - Symetrical Systems. Feistel. DES. AES. Asymetrical systems. Merkle-Helman. RSA. ElGamal. Management and Distribution of keys. Diffie-Hellman, STS. Certificates. Message authentification : hashing (MD5,SHA1) - MAC (HMAC) - Digital Signatures (ElGamal, DSS). Identification Protocoles : symetrical approach (Needham-Schroeder) - Kerberos - Web oriented approach(SSL,SET). Secure Protocoles : IPSEC - Mail Services (PGP, S/MIME).
Course objective : Basic Concepts of Modern Operating Systems - Theoretical and Mathematical Models - Computer Security - Computer Cryptography.
Prerequisites : Basic knowledge of Computer Systems and Operating Systems.
Basic knowledge of a high-level and a low-level programming languages.
Workshops : In-depth understanding and Summarizing in a report of one (or several) subject(s) chosen by the student.
