Introduction to Dutch Law

Course contents : Every week a different aspect of the Dutch Law will be presented in a lecture on the following subject-matters:
- History of the legal system of the Netherlands;
- Introduction to constitutional and administrative law;
- Introduction to criminal law;
- Introduction to commercial law;
- Introduction to contract law;
- Introduction to company law;
- Introduction to property law, the law of succession and matrimonial property.
Course objective : This course will provide a general introduction to the most important aspects of Dutch law.
Prerequisites : A good knowledge of English
Organization : Course to follow to the University of Maastricht

"Introduction to Dutch law" will be taught during seven weeks and will consist of seven sessions of two hours each.

Teaching time : 9/01 untill 3/02 - Examination during the last week (If failed : week of 10 April)
Assessment : Written examination
