Course contents : The German space - including Austria and the Holy Empire from origins to unity - with emphasis on territorial development and institutions.

ULg is a French-speaking University situated in a French-speaking area. The courses will, of course, be delivered in French, as well as the text-books, written and oral examinations, papers and reports. Foreign students are expected to master the language first.
Course objective : Explain the complexity of the "Germanies" through history and their influence on all European countries.
Organization : Durée et période : 45h théoriques.

Lieu d'enseignement et horaire : dépt. des Sc. historiques Quai Roosevelt, 1b ;
mardi de 8 à 9h (toute l'année), mercredi de 10 à 11h (1er semestre), uniquement les années impaires.
Assessment : Une interrogation dispensatoire facultative sera éventuellement organisée en février (QCM et question à rédiger). Session de juin : examen oral.
