Archaeometric analysis of architectural patrimony

Course contents : Historical sources, iconography, building archaelogy, are different "traditional" sources and methods used by the historian of architecture. To continue the analysis with other tools, this teaching will show how it is possible to obtain more results with the contribution of natural sciences as it is often asked before the restoration of a monument.
Course objective : The goal is to obtain the correct use of different scientific methods to understand the history of a monument, espacialy if a study before the restoration is asked.
Prerequisites : Nothing.
Workshops : Observations on monuments.
Organization : The pratical organisation will be discuss with the students, at the begenning of the academic year.
Written notes : Informations and bibliography will be give to the students during the academic year.
Assessment : Oral examination
