| This course is designed to introduce students to the major financial management concerns and challenges faced by companies in an international setting. It covers five main topic areas: environment of international financial management, foreign exchange and derivative markets, foreign exchange risk management, financing the multinational corporation, and foreign investment analysis. The learning process will be facilitated with the help of some case studies and scientific papers. | |

| Workshops :
| The class is divided up into 7 groups. Each group is assigned to present/resolve/discuss in class: - 2 different chapters of the textbook; - 1 small case study; - 1 scientific paper related to a special topic.
Each group will therefore present 4 times throughout the course. Most of the time, each class is broken down into 3 sessions: * Theoretical sessions: lectures presented by students. Presentation of 2 chapters of the book. No longer than 25-30 min per group. * Practical sessions: small case studies related to the part presented the weeks before. No longer than 20-25 min per group. * Scientific sessions: Presentation AND discussion of a scientific paper related to a special topic. No longer than 20-25 min.
Each group assignment (presentation) is due at the beginning of each class. Each group is also asked to systematically upload each PPT presentation on the HEC Campus website by the assignment date (or no later than the day after). | |

- 2 different chapters of the book (10+10%=20%). - 1 small case study (20%). - 1 scientific paper related to a special topic (10% presentation +10% discussion=20%). - 1 global written case study (30%). - Personal participation/attendance (5% passive + 5% active =10%).
Presentations will be evaluated according to the criteria of style, clarity, comprehensiveness, organization, as well as the quality of answers to the questions from the audience.
