Course contents : The considered topics are the following.

a) groundwater resources: induced land subsidence, overexploitation, contamination, remediation, protection and vulnerability;

b) soils and georisk: karstic subsidence, slope stability

Examples from actual study cases.
Course objective : Discuss the main geo-environmental issues, induced or not by human activities. Evaluation of technical solutions from the observation to the optimized remediation.
Prerequisites : Background in geology and hydrogeology
Workshops : On study cases
Organization : Second semester

Assessment : Oral exam
