Course contents : I. Spatial inference using topo-probabilistic models
1.1. Simple Kriging
1.2 Ordinary Kriging
1.3. Kriging with a Trend
1.4. Kriging with secondary information
1.5. Influence of neighbourhood configuration and variogram model on inference.

II Multivariate Geostatistics
2.1. Co-regionalisation and cross-variogram
2.2. Co-kriging

III. Kriging and local estimation error.
3.1. Kriging and change of support (block kriging)
3.2. Multigaussian kriging
3.3. Indicator kriging
3.4. Resource clasification and estimation error

IV. Introduction to geostatistical simulations
Course objective : 1) To present the main geostatistical inference tools (advantages and drawbacks)
2) To acquire a good mastership of the most utilised concepts
3) To provide the basis for understanding themost advanced papers on spatial inference
4) To learn about the most common professional geostatistical applications

Assessment : The student will receive, min. 15 days before the oral examination, a scientific paper about the pratical use of concepts reviewed during the course.
He will be asked to perform a bibliographical research to further illustrate some key notions and will have to present it during oral examination.

A theoretical question will complement the oral examination
