| Course contents : | Finite strain analysis. Brittle structures: breaking criteria, joints and faults. Ductile structures: cleavage, lineation, boudinage, shear zones and folds. | |||||

| Course objective : | At the end of the course, the student must be capable of recognizing and interpreting tectonic structures, from microscope scale up to regional scale. | |||||

| Prerequisites : | Course of general geology. | |||||

| Assessment : | Written examination for practical work (one exercise) and oral examination for the theoretical part (one question). | |||||
