Workshops in economic and social geography

Course contents : Workshops are structured around a territorial diagnostic that will be realized during a week field works abroad. They confront the student with field works methodological problems and with the relativity of the idea of development.
Course objective : 1. Confrontation with the difficulties of research abroad

2. Command of research methods of economic and social geography

3. Use of the geographical knowledge to realise a territorial diagnostic from a sustainable development viewpoint.
Prerequisites : 1er licence en sciences géographiques
Workshops : Exercises are joined with field works during 8 days in March.
Organization : Lectures will be given in February to prepare the field works and during the field works.

Assessment : Field works (50%)
