| GCIV0055-1 : Conception et exécution des ponts
The concepeptual design of bridges has substantially changed during the last decades. That is due to the world techniological and economical development. The curse is aimed at historical, aesthetical and technical considerations on which the bridge design is based. Also the emphasis is put on the creativity and the necessity of a good integration of the structure in its environment. The evolution of the techniques of construction is widely discussed and special attention is paid to those used presently. Worked examples and technical visits support those general considerations.

 | La conception des ponts a très fortement évolué au cours de ces dernières décennies. Ceci est dû tant au développement économique mondial qu'aux évolutions technologiques. L'objectif du cours est de donner aux étudiants un très large aperçu, tant historique, esthétique que technologique. Il veut également mettre en avant la très grande possibilité d'imagination et de créativité qui est donnée au concepteur. Il insiste également sur l'indispensable qualité esthétique que nécessitent ces ouvrages et leur intégration dans l'environnement. L'évolution des techniques est très largement abordée en insistant sur les méthodes les plus modernes qui assurent le développement actuel. Des études de cas pratiques et des visites de chantiers permettent de concrétiser les notions générales. |
