Technical Economic Analysis of Transport Systems

Course contents : The lecture is mainly composed by a didatic presentation with illustration of practical cases. In a first part, it is necessary to familiarize the student with basic knowledge concerned with the analysis of transport systems. Computation methods are then presented for each mode of transport.
Course objective : The objective is to overcome analysis techniques of a transport system and the concrete evaluation of the costs, important elements in the elaboration of strategies of intermodal transport chains
Prerequisites : No specific background different that the one required for a student already accepted in a master degree.
Organization : Oral course+practical works (simulations on computer are realised).
Written notes : The course is very specific and has its own detailed syllabus: it is not necessary to refer to other particular documents.
For any student who wants to improve his knowledge, a library in the transport field is available and is regularly updated, mainly under department fund.
Assessment : Oral examination+evaluation of practical works
