Course contents : The course offers a first introduction to biomedical engineering. The course is organised in 7 distinct modules taught by different faculty members of the engineering program.
1. Introduction to biomedical engineering
2. Bioinstrumentation
3. Biomechanics
4 Medical imaging
5. Transport phenomena in biology
6. Dynamical models of biological systems
7. Bioinformatics
Course objective : The objective of the course is to provide the students with an overview of the differents applications of biomedical engineering. The course will also ensure a proper link between the engineering courses of the bachelor program and the life science courses offered in the minor in biomedical engineering.

Assessment : Final written exam in June. One question per chapter.
