| Course contents : | detailed presentation of COD,BOD, N-Kt, Pt in relation with watertreatment Domestic wastewater characterization and available flowsheets for treatment Biological treatment : principles, biomasses, stoechiometry and kinetics Main types of biological treatment Activated sludge process : principle, design criteria, C/N/P metabolisms; biofloc properties Mc Carty's model ( for C) and various flowsheets Collection of wastewater, sewer systems, main pretreatment processes Individual on site treatment Anaerobic processes Main unit processes ( settling, flottation,..)
