Course contents : Mental health epidemiology:
- Mental disorders definitions
- Basic psychometric methods
- Mental diseases assessment methods
- Specific epidemiological issues
Course objective : At the end of the session, students will be able to design and to lead their own research in the main fields of mental health epidemiology. They will be able to evaluate the methodological limits of the research
sub-domain under study and to generate alternative solutions to classical methods, e.g. in hidden populations researches such as in illicit substance(s) use disorders.

Aware of their knowledge limits, students will be encouraged to seek multidisciplinary technical assistance when needed. Their acquired expertise will allow them to join various research team, and to spread their knowledge among fellow researchers.

Workshops : No
Organization : Classical theoretical lectures (5 x 3 hours), schedule of lessons is negotiable.
Written notes : Partial + scientific articles
Assessment : Written exam in June.
