Partim : Gestion durable de la nature

The objective of this seminar is to show that nature conservation policies are to be read as a social process. Conservation policy is firstly a scientific project to which naturalist NGO's were associated. This first perspective was focused on to be protected nature, and based on regulation from international and national regulation to be applied at local levels.

Then policies are evolving toward more efficiency in a twofold perspective :
- scientific methods to identify species and spaces to be protected are more and more complex by including concepts form landscape ecology and ecological networks;
- norms and management tend to be applied to larger territories.

At the same time these policies and management methods imply to take into account spsificities of concerned territories and they also require some new ways to involve many new actors in the management.
