Course contents : Contents: introduction, unit transforms, linear filtering and deconvolution, mathematical morphology, non-linear filtering, features extraction and border detection, texture, enhancement and restoration, shape analysis, image segmentation, x-ray tomography, industrial applications
Course objective : During this course, the main questions about image processing are approached.
We study theoritical and practical aspects.
Prerequisites : None
Workshops : Apart from the theoretical course, there are :
  • exercices with the assistant
  • computer simulation exercices
  • a homework (compulsory) of computer simulation
Organization : This course takes place during the first semester. It includes a lecture on theory and training session per week.

Assessment : Written exam (compulsory) but it is possible to do a work instead of this exam.

Homework (compulsory).
This work must imperatively be given during the penultimate week of course of the first semester.

Methods of examination:
The exam is composed of theoritical questions and exercices. This is an open-book exam.
