Course contents : "Building acoustics and Noise control" addresses the basic principles which can be used to solve problems in room acoustics, sound insulation, industrial and urban acoustics and environmental noise problems.
Contents : Fundamentals of acoustics, physiological acoustics, isosonie and dBA, discomfort due to noise, noise measurements and regulations, room acoustics, air-borne and structure-borne sound insulation, industrial acoustics, outdoor acoustics.
Course objective : "Building acoustics and Noise control" addresses the basic principles which can be used to solve problems in room acoustics, sound insulation, industrial and urban acoustics and environmental noise problems.
Prerequisites : none
Workshops : Exercises and some laboratory experiments (demonstrations)
Organization : september to december, 13 lessons (4H each).

During the 4 last lessons, the students may choose a more "architectural" or "industrial" training.
Written notes : Edited by A.E.E.S. Two syllabi :

First syllabus for all students, second syllabus for "industrial" students only ("architectural" students will receive their supplementary notes from the teacher).
Assessment : Oral examination on theory and exercises.
