Course contents : "Introduction to audio and video techniques" addresses the analog and digital techniques used in the recording and reproduction of audio and video signals. Contents : Fundamentals of acoustics, audio measurements, electroacoustic transducers, digital audio, video signals, optical recording (compact disc), virtual audio, audio and video compression (MPEG), laboratory exercises.
Course objective : "Introduction to audio and video techniques" addresses the analog and digital techniques used in the recording and reproduction of audio and video signals.
Prerequisites : Systems control and analysis, Signal Processing
Workshops : Blackboard exercises

3 laboratory sessions (organised for small groups of students)
Presence at these laboratory sessions are mandatory.
Organization : september to december - 13 lessons, each of about 4h

(22 h theory, 22 h exercises or laboratory sessions, 8h seminars).
Written notes : Edited by A.E.E.S.
Assessment : Evaluation is based on the results of the examination test and the laboratory reports.
