| Course contents :
| Theoretical course : The course comprises 10 sessions of 1h30 dealing with various aspects of research led in the field of intervention in sport. It is divided into the following chapters:
Chapter 1 - Concepts and paradigms Chapter 2 - Data collecting Chapter 3 - The teacher Chapter 4 - The pupil Chapter 5 - Control of the class Chapter 6 - Effectiveness of physical and sport activities' teaching Chapter 7 - Coach-athlete relationship Chapter 8 - Planning Chapter 9 - Sport educator' s training and acquisition of teaching skills Chapter 10 - Qualitative research
Practical course: This course aims to illustrate research methods for collecting data about the three phases of pedagogical relationship. Students will be taught about writing an abstract and about rules concerning to scientific references. | |

| Course objective :
| Theoretical course
-To illustrate the concept of Intervention in physical and sport activities. -To present the research paradigms used in this field. -To describe the instruments and their characteristics. -To illustrate the results of studies focused on the main studied variables. -To underline the practical implications of this kind of research.
Practical course
-To illustrate the use of the instruments described at the time of the theoretical course. -To provide students with a basic experience in developing research methods in the field of Intervention in physical and sport activities. -To give students the opportunity to discover the process of presenting the results of a study. | |

| Workshops :
| Practical work: Schedule. It is determined during the first theoretical lesson. The practical courses consist essentially in the preparation of an abstract and a poster as well as exercises aiming to illustrate and experiment the instruments and methodologies described during the theoretical course. | |

| Organization :
| The teaching sessions are planned during the semester 5. All information are provided during the first lesson. | |
|  | | |
| Written notes :
| A copy of the slides and documents proposed during the theoretical lessons is provided to the students' representative. In addition, the students will have to seek other information, according to recommendations' of the course's leader or his assistants. | |
|  | | |
| Assessment :
| Works and results at the January examination are combined for the final note. | |
