Course contents : In relation to the customs of international commerce, the course studies in detail the rules governing preliminary documents during the negotiation of international contracts as well as some clauses that are important in the practice of international trade agreements. Specific contracts that deal with the international sale and trade in goods and services are also studied. The problem of which law is applicable to international contracts is analyzed. The course concludes by discussing the practice of international arbitration.
Course objective : This course purports to acquaint future managers with the legal aspects of international transactions and initiate them to the legal mechanisms used in the drafting of international agreements.
Prerequisites : Contract law.

Organization : First semester.
Written notes : Analysis of documents including international Conventions, as well as clauses and contractual documents. Written notes are available for some parts of the course.
Assessment : Oral final exam.
