Course contents : Theoretical course on
1- development of documentation in the field of sciences from antiquity
to the present;
2- documentary tools in the field of sciences;
3- strategies implemented to use these tools
Workshops in which students have to do a powerpoint presentation of the strategies
they used in a given task of documentary research in sciences.
Course objective : Introduce notions on what is specific in scientific documentary research
Prerequisites : Notions pf classical documentary tool

Basic English


Use of powerpoint
Workshops : Do a powerpoint presentation of a strategy used in a documentary research in a scientific area
Organization : Four theoretical lectures as sketched above
One or two guided tours in a library of exact sciences
Written notes : Powerpoint slideshow used in the theoretical lectures sent by email
Assessment : Evaluation will be based on a report handed in by students and introducing the research strategy to achieve a bibliography in a general scientific area
