Course contents : Notions about organized crime and international crime are tackled through some examples. Special attention is given to drug trafficking and terrorism. The implications of this types of crime on international relations between States and its geopolitical aspects are discussed.
Course objective : Familiarize students to geopolitical aspects linked to transnational organized crime
Prerequisites : Ideally the course of criminology
Organization : The course take place at the second semester (february-may). One part in lectures form and a second one in seminar (presentation and discussion of the papers prepared in working groups by the students)
Written notes : List of references delivered and commented; different recommended readings according to the subjects and themes
Assessment : Evaluation based on the paper, its presententation and the active participation in seminar
