Course contents : Review of the theoretical approaches based on spectral analysis that allow to characterizing the energy redistribution in an excited molecule. Time dependent view of spectroscopy. Maximum entropy formalism for the exploration pf phase space. Control of chemical reactivity at the molecular level.
Course objective : - Theory of the reactivity of excited molecules
- Time-dependent interpretation of molecular spectroscopy
- Time scales of molecular reactivity
Prerequisites : Fundamentals of quantum mechanics and molecular physical chemistry
Organization : The courses will be organized taking into account the availability of the students and of F. Remacle
