| Course contents :
| Interaction mechanisms between electrons and atoms or molecules. Impact of the electrons energy. Excitation. Non-optiacal selection rules. Vibration or electronic population inversion. Electron-molecule resonances. Application in technologies (plasmas, lasers, ..., in the physical methods of analysis and in extraterrestrial terrestrial atmospheric chemistry, in radiation chemistry. | |

| Course objective :
| To give an insight in the fundamental mechanisms of energy tranfers induced by electrons in collision with atoms or molecules. Nature of the excited states. Illustration by applications in physical chemistry. | |

| Oral lectures. Timetable fixed upon discussion with the students. | |
