Nanomaterials, principles of synthesis and application

Course contents : The first part of this course aims at introducing the basis of nanotechnology. The second part is devoted to the preparation of different nanomaterials and to their applications. Metallic nanoparticles and their supramolecular organisation, nanoparticles for drug delivery, nanocomposites (clay/polymer) and carbon nanotubes are discussed in this part.
Course objective : This course aims at introducing the nanotechnology and to show its impact on the development of improved materials.
Prerequisites : Course entitled "Macromolecular Chemistry" (Prof. R. Jérôme) in 2nd licence in chemistry sciences.
Organization : 6 courses of 2h each and 1 course of 3h
Written notes : The copy of the slides will be available to the students
Assessment : Written exam (half a day)
