Course contents : The course is divided in two parts: the first part concerns the teaching of cellular and molecular bases of specific topics in cell physiology such as cell differentiation, cell movement, cell death, and cell-cell interactions; the second part will be used to integrate theorical notions to practical physiological problems.
Course objective : The main goal of the course is to provide the bases of cell physiology and to integrate those into the physiology of the whole organism.
Prerequisites : Notions in animal or human physiology, cell biology, histology and biochemistry are needed.
Workshops : The practical course aims at using basic notions learnt during the year to specific physiologicql problems.
Organization : The theorical course (2h/week) is followed by a practical course (40h) and by a written or oral presentation.
Written notes : There is no wrtitten course to be distributed. However, some notes will be handed out to help understanding. In addition, scientific reviews and/or articles will be used as bases for discussion.
Assessment : Final mark will reflect work during the practical course, mark of the written and/or oral presentation, and the mark of the oral examination.
