Structure, synthesis and organization of the outer membrane of Gram negative bacteria
Sporulation (as an exemple of cell differenciation )
Nitrogen fixation by free living and symbiotic bacteria
Mechanisms of protein secretion
Conjugaison
Chemotactism

2d part, Yeasts :

Taxonomy and morphology
Life cycle
Growth and metabolism
Control of cell type and cell cycle
Cell wall biochemistry and synthesis
Synthesis membrane proteins and protein secretion
Course objective : Deepening of the description of some properties of bacteria.
General description of yeasts
Prerequisites : Basic knowledge in bacteriology and biochemistry
Workshops : None
Organization : 90min to 2 h lectures, twice a week, during the second part of the academic year
Written notes : Written notes given
Assessment : Free choice of an oral or written examination.
