Course contents : Each student chooses a scientific paper among a list of recent publications given by scientists teaching in "Licence en Sciences biochimiques". He/she is helped by one of these scientists in the reading and oral preparation of the selected research article. He/she then presents the article in front of the other students and a set of scientists.
Course objective : The goal of this course is to help students to develop skills in critical reading of a scientific paper and to give them the opportunity to gain experience in oral presentation.
Prerequisites : Basic knowledge of scientific English.
Knowledge in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.
Organization : Theory (5h): students will be given tips on how to get acces and deal with paper and electronic scientific information as well as tips for critical reading and preparing paper presentations.

Practical courses (25h): Each session will include an average of five 30 min. presentations (15 min talk, 15 min. discussion each)

All students participate in the presentations and discussions.
Written notes : None
Assessment : Will be done at two levels:
1) By the scientist who supervised the preparation work
2) By the scientists attending the oral presentations.
