| Course contents : | Introduction to the intangible heritage including definitions, history, institutions and a methodology for inquiry. Presentation of the different fields of the intangible heritage in Wallonie : - oral expressions (dialects, songs, legends), - performing arts (music, dance and puppets theatre), - rituals and social practices (festive events, games, devoutness) and traditional knowledges and savoir-faire (handycrafts, alimentation, medicine). | |||||

| Workshops : | The student must inquire in a specific field of intangible heritage. He chooses his witness. The delivery of the report of inquiry will take place befor oral examination. | |||||

| Written notes : | There is no printed notebook but the student may consult Françoise Lempereur's book "Du doudou au remoudou" (Bruxelles, Labor, 1999), introduction for general public to the studied subjects. No obliged reading. | |||||
