Physics 3: Physical Optics - Quantum Mechanics

Course contents : The third part of the physics course is devoted to the study of the waves and to modern physics.
After presentation of the mechanical and electromagnetic waves the formalism introduced is used to bring the notions of quantum mechanics in.
Course objective : To lead the student to master the concepts of modern physics and the fundamentals of quantum mechanics.
Prerequisites : Physics I and II
Workshops : Laboratory working sessions (15h) : spectroscopy, waves diffraction, interferences, polarisation.

Problems (15h).
Organization : Teaching will be carried out in the first semester. Problems and laboratory sessions every two weeks alternately.
Written notes : Available
Assessment : Written exam in june as well as lab exam.
