Course contents : To learn how to read tablets in linear B, then reading of tablets connected with a special subject, according to the student's request (for instance: tablets concerning religion).
Course objective : To lead students to be able to read with benefice documents in linear B and to draw all kinds of useful information about their socio-cultural background. Also to draw information about the history of Greek languages and dialects.
Prerequisites : For students of Master, a degree of Bachelor. Some knowledge of Ancient Greek and of the language's history is necessary.
Organization : How long? 30 h -1st and 2nd semesters.
Where and when? Pl du XX Août, main building,a room at the 3rd floor. Friday from 9.30 to 10.30.
How? Teaching ex cathedra for introduction, then reading of the tablets with the students.
Written notes : Bibliographical indications are given during the course.
