Hydro- and Mecanotherapy

Course contents : The course focuses on the following topics:

- physical characteristics of fluid environments – physiological consequences – therapeutical implications;
- indications and counter-indications for hydrotherapy;
- properties and applications of peloids, carbo-gaseous baths, steam showers and and subaqua;
- mecanotherapy systems: levers - pulley;
- specific montages to improve posture - tractions - mobilizations;
- indications and counter-indications for these systems;
- loco-regional applications.
Course objective : - Allow the understanding of therapeutical indications and the limitations of hydro- and mecano-therapy in order to integrate them with other reeducation techniques;
- The practical mastery of these techniques.
Prerequisites : Physics (Semester 1).
