Massage Theory and Techniques

Course contents : The course focuses on the following topics:

- physiological bases of massage maneuvers and their action on various tissues;
- base massage conditions (modalities, inspection of the treated tissues);
- massage maneuvers and development of technical aspects, as well as specific indications and counter-indications;
- loco-regional applications.
Course objective : Acquisition of general and specific massage techniques.
Prerequisites : Introduction to human anatomy (Semester 2).
Workshops : The sessions allow the students to train in the techniques presented during theoretical courses..

Material: bath towel and massage cream
Equipment: sports clothes and bathing suit
Note: Presence is mandatory.
Organization : The course takes place during semester 3 (see course schedule).
Written notes : Two series of course notes are available.
Assessment : Assessment (theory and practice) to be defined as part of the integrated assessment process.
