Course contents : Internet is at the center of a major economic and technological revolution. This advanced course provides students with an in-depth analysis of the key dimensions - financial and technological - of success in the highly competitive internet marketplace. Key concepts and methods of efficient programming in the dot.net environment are covered. Students are offered the opportunity to contribute to the development of a prototype internet site.
Course objective : In-depth study of the internet environment. Financial models and technologies used by successful companies. Programming and development environments.
Written notes : Lectures, internet-based case analysis, internet development workshops, term project.
List of readings, articles and chapters, research and development notes.
Reference internet sites.
Assessment : Class contribution. Individual assignments. Development of a prototype internet site.
