Course contents : Statistical and mathematical tools :
-On the basis of concrete environmental case studies :
-Data formatting (coding, missing data, aberrant data, computer
files)
-Choice of the data processing methods according to the objectives
-Brief and concrete presentation of the various graphical tools, mathematical tools (filtering, smoothing, Fourier analysis...) and
statistical tools (descriptive statistics, regressions, analysis of variance, factorial analysis...).
Course objective : Giving to the student the possibility of being directed in a relevant
way through the various procedures of data processing, according to
his environmental objectives
Prerequisites : Mathematics of the secondary school
Workshops : In the computer room, with software handling
-6 hours of revision of the exercises seen during the course
-6 hours of original exercise
Organization : By 3-hours modules (except pratical works : two full days of 6 hours), in December
Written notes : interactive notes on Intranet
Assessment : on the basis of the practical work devoted to the original exercice
