Course contents : "Building acoustics and Noise control" addresses the basic principles which can be used to solve problems in room acoustics, sound insulation, industrial and urban acoustics and environmental noise problems.
Contents : Fundamentals of acoustics, physiological acoustics, isosonie and dBA, discomfort due to noise, noise measurements and regulations, room acoustics, sound insulation against aerial and impact noise, industrial acoustics, outdoor acoustics, project in room acoustics or in industrial acoustics.
Course objective : "Building acoustics and Noise control" addresses the basic principles which can be used to solve problems in room acoustics, sound insulation, industrial and urban acoustics and environmental noise problems.
Prerequisites : none
Workshops : Exercises and some laboratory experiments (demonstration performed by professional staff).
Organization : 1st semester, 13 lessons.

The 4 or 5 last lessons are dedicated to a project in room or industrial acoustics.
Written notes : Available by the teacher
Assessment : Evaluation includes oral examination and the report of the project.
